Community Guidelines
Last updated: February 2026
Community Lounge is built to make creators and conversation feel at home in the same place. These Guidelines describe the behavior we expect from every user — from a brand-new account to a fully monetized creator with millions of followers. If your activity on the platform crosses these lines, we will remove content, suspend accounts, freeze earnings, and in serious cases ban accounts permanently and report violations to law enforcement. We apply these rules consistently and we do not negotiate them.
Our Philosophy
We believe a healthy platform comes from three things: creators who feel safe to publish, viewers who can trust what they see, and conversations that stay civil even when they disagree. To protect those three things at once, every rule below answers one simple question: does this behavior make Community Lounge worse for everyone else? If the answer is yes, the behavior is not allowed and the consequence may be permanent.
We treat first-time mistakes differently from patterns of abuse. A user who learns from a warning is welcome to keep building here. A user who keeps repeating violations, or whose first violation is severe enough on its own, will be removed without further notice.
1. Absolute Bans (Immediate Permanent Termination)
The behaviors below result in immediate permanent account termination, public-record removal of all related content, forfeiture of any pending earnings, and where applicable a report to U.S. law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). There is no warning, no appeal queue, and no “second account” allowance — repeat offenders detected under new identities will be banned again on discovery.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, in any format, including drawn, animated, or AI-generated content depicting minors in sexual contexts.
- Content sexualizing minors in any way, including grooming language, suggestive framing, or solicitation.
- Credible threats of mass violence, terrorism, or attacks on a specific person, place, or group.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (so-called "revenge porn"), including AI deepfakes of real people in sexual or nude contexts.
- Doxxing — publishing private personal information (home address, phone, government ID, financial data) of another person without consent.
- Direct facilitation of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, or sale of a person.
- Targeted harassment of a minor.
- Use of the platform to plan, recruit for, or carry out a violent crime.
2. Zero-Tolerance Conduct (Termination on First Confirmed Violation)
The behaviors below also lead to termination, but receive a single review before action so that we do not punish users for content posted by an attacker who hijacked their account. If the violation is confirmed, the account is terminated and remaining earnings forfeited.
- Selling, distributing, or promoting illegal drugs, weapons, or stolen goods.
- Selling or trading account access, follower counts, likes, views, or watch hours.
- Impersonation of a real person or organization with intent to defraud.
- Coordinated inauthentic behavior (bot networks, brigade attacks, mass-fake-account farms).
- Operating phishing pages, malware drops, or credential-harvesting links from your account.
- Engaging in payment fraud, charge-back fraud, money laundering, or any attempt to launder funds through tips, super chats, or memberships.
- Bypassing platform safety systems (e.g., re-uploading banned content, evading bans with new accounts, abusing automation to defeat rate limits).
3. Content That Will Be Removed and Will Cause Suspensions
The following content will be removed when discovered. Repeat offenders will be progressively suspended: 24 hours → 7 days → 30 days → permanent. Severity may collapse the timeline at our discretion.
- Hate speech that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious medical condition.
- Slurs targeting protected groups, even if the user claims it is satire.
- Targeted harassment, pile-ons, or repeated unwanted contact after a user has asked to be left alone.
- Threats of violence — explicit or coded — toward an individual or small group.
- Adult sexual content visible without an explicit, opt-in viewing flag (the platform currently does not offer such a flag, so adult sexual content is not allowed at all).
- Graphic real-world violence shared for shock value rather than journalistic, educational, or documentary purpose.
- Self-harm and suicide content that promotes, glorifies, or instructs others to harm themselves.
- Misinformation about elections, public-health emergencies, or ongoing crises that could cause real-world harm.
- Spam — repetitive identical posts, mass tagging unrelated accounts, links chains, or comment-stuffing on unrelated videos.
- Engagement manipulation — using mutual-follow groups, like-for-like rings, view bots, or any third-party service that artificially inflates your stats. Discovered creators lose their badge, lose monetization, and have their stats reset.
- Posting personal information of another user without their consent.
- Sharing or selling cheats, hacks, or tools designed to break other platforms’ terms of service.
4. Rules Specific to Creators & Monetization
Creators receiving money through Community Lounge are held to a higher standard because viewers’ payments flow through us. The following will result in monetization removal, balance freeze, and (if intentional or repeated) account termination:
- Promising paid perks (videos, shoutouts, content) and not delivering them.
- Selling memberships in exchange for content that violates these Guidelines (e.g., locked adult or violent content).
- Using AI-generated content presented as real footage of real people, used to deceive viewers into paying.
- Using one account to receive money for content owned by another person without permission (re-uploads, theft).
- Failing the U.S. state-ID verification or providing falsified or doctored identification.
- Withdrawal abuse — initiating reversals after withdrawal, structuring withdrawals to evade reporting thresholds.
5. Direct Messages
DMs are private but they are not lawless. Content of a DM is not reviewed by us in the normal course of business, but if a DM is reported, we will review it and take action under the same rules above. Sending the following in a DM will get your account suspended or terminated even though the message was “private”:
- Unsolicited sexual content.
- Threats, harassment, or stalking after a user blocked you or asked you to stop.
- Phishing links, malware, or scam offers.
- Solicitation of minors for any reason.
6. How to Report a Violation
Use the “Report” option on the offending post, comment, profile, or message (where available), or email trust@communitylounge.app with a link and a brief description. We aim to review reports within 24 hours for severe categories (CSAM, threats of violence, doxxing) and within 72 hours for everything else.
7. Appeals
If your account is suspended or terminated, you can appeal once by emailing appeals@communitylounge.app within 30 days of the action. Appeals are reviewed by a different team than the one that took the original action. The decision on appeal is final. Appeals are not available for items in section 1 (Absolute Bans).
8. Enforcement Summary
The shortest version of these Guidelines, in case you are skimming:
- Sexualizing minors → permanent ban + report.
- Threatening real people → permanent ban.
- Selling drugs/weapons/stolen goods → permanent ban.
- Hate speech, harassment, doxxing, scams → suspension up to permanent.
- Spam, engagement manipulation, fake stats → loss of badge, monetization, and stats.
- Charge-back fraud or fake ID → loss of monetization, balance frozen, possibly banned.
- Be human, be useful, don't ruin Community Lounge for the next person.
